The new LandCruiser 2008 is more serious about passive safety than ever before, with up to 10 airbags strategically positioned to protect you and your passengers in the event of an accident. Standard driver and passenger front airbags have dual-stage deployment based on collision speed. Also standard are side airbags and full-length curtain shield airbags, which also deploy to third row seat occupants. Land Cruiser 2008 comes with our newly developed multi-terrain anti-lock braking system (ABS) for even greater control, safety and confidence in difficult braking situations. The new control logic senses when the vehicle changes driving conditions and alters ABS performance to suit, adjusting brake pressure to each tyre depending on its relationship to the road surface.
