The All New Corolla features aerodynamic multi-reflector halogen headlamps with improved illumination patterns that improve visibility and increase safety for the occupants. The newly designed disc brakes which have ABS (Anti-lock Brake System) with EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution) with a brake assist system supports safe and stable driving. Braking performance is furture enhanced with 15-inch rear disc brakes, up from the 14-inch ones on the previous model. The Brake Assist System increases braking force for the inexperienced or panicking driver applies brakes quickly but without enough pressure or for the driver who sometimes eases up on the brake pedal too soon.

The Corolla is also engineered to minimize the risk of injury to pedestrians if struck by the car. Reduced engine height, easily crumpled structure for hood and hood lock, crushable cowl in the windshield wiper area and adopt windshield wiper pivots with impact-absorbing stroke and drop-off structure help to reduce impact in areas of adult's and children's heads in case of an accident.
